Squaw Peak, now often called Piestewa Peak is a popular urban hiking trail in the heart of Phoenix. The Summit Trail at Piestewa Peak is a relatively easy hike for well-conditioned hikers and offers spectacular views of the Valley of the Sun below. Since the Peak is within the city, it’s always waiting when the hiking urge strikes and is conveniently located near Phoenix hotels and resorts.
